Mats started his journey on an Amiga 1200 using a 3D software called "Imagine". He graduated from an art high-school & at the age of 25 he moved to New York City - to study at the School of Visual Arts. He earned his BFA in Computer Arts and stayed in the U.S for 10 years.

He was hired by powerhouse "Psyop" directly after graduating  but later went on to join a friend starting a new post-production studio called Nathan Love. Here Mats stayed for 7 years, earning multiple awards for 3D commercials produced primarily for broadcast television. He became the CG Supervisor and stayed there until he moved back to Sweden in 2012.

Since moving back to Sweden, Mats has been a freelance VFX Artist ever since, earning credits on block-buster Marvel films like Guardians of the Galaxy II and Ms. Marvel. He has also worked on several big Swedish productions like "Stockholm Bloodbath" & "Whiskey on the Rocks", but he also enjoys working on print advertising for cosmetics and other products.
